Day trip in the capital of the Costa del Sol

———–

The (perhaps most) well-known city of Málaga was, of course, also on the list of hotspots. With a wide range of culture, architecture and history, this city is an ideal (multi-day) getaway.

But remember that a trip to this great city requires some preparation. Because the city has so much to offer, it is important to plan all the things you would like to see. Do you prefer to be spontaneous? Then start at Malaga Cathedral, because from there you will discover some important sights in every direction.

Rich architecture and vibrant culture

I love architecture and hidden places, which makes Málaga a dream destination! With my detailed schedule, I headed into town, starting from Parking Indigo – Mena, which is centrally located. Past Málaga’s cathedral, we walked to the covered market, known as Mercado Central de Atarazanas.

After discovering traditional food and fresh tapas bars, we went in search of the hidden green oases in the busy city. Jardines de Picasso is a park opened in 1981 to commemorate the 100th birthday of the famous Malaga painter Pablo Picasso.

Exploring a shopping centre and the shopping streets could not be missing from this outing. We visited a few more architectural monuments and ended the evening at the port, Muelle Uno.
